How do you apply the law of harmony after chaos in your business?

Can you relate to this: There you are, building your business and suddenly the wreckingball of chaos sideswipes your efforts.

It happens to all of us at some moment in time.

The disaster may have taken on different forms, such as a health issue, a transaction gone sideways, a partnership that imploded, or as in our case- a literal hurricane. Regardless of how it comes at you, the event rocks you and knocks you off your feet, even if for a moment.

Few stop to think about how a major event is connected to the Universal Law of Harmony, but it does. Stay with me. We will cover both this - and how to apply it in your business.

The Swede and I are rebounding from hurricane Ian, so I am speaking to this with fresh eyes.

We had just returned from our travels from Sweden as we got wind of the change of direction and strength of the storm. Without proper time for storm preparations, we surrendered our trust to the universe to keep us safe and out of harm's way. We looked at each other and said “what is meant to be will be.” What was meant to be was a category 4 or 5 hurricane, depending on which news station you turned to. For us, the news came days later as we lost power early in the storm. After more than 12  hours of punishing winds, at times clocking over 140 miles an hour, we were greeted by daylight the morning after the storm.

We will never forget the sight: It looked like something out of a Hollywood movie. There had been a strange parting of the seas around our home. Almost literally.

Being the highest elevated home in the neighborhood we were among a half dozen homes that remained dry. Yes, there were full grown trees that had been uprooted and tossed around the yard, our lanai pulled off the roof and now at the bottom of the pool, and such. But our house itself had held together like a fortress. Just standing in our driveway, looking around at our neighborhood we quickly saw what devastation the storms can cause. While we did take on some damages it paled in comparison to our surroundings. But not one of our friends, family or neighbors was injured.

In times of disparity gratitude is abundant

While we have little, there is an opportunity to give a lot.

Without running water, power and with dwindling resources, our neighborhood became tightly knit fast. Warm meals were shared with those who did not have a cooking source, phone call assistance to insurance providers for elderly neighbors, and when someone scored a novelty (such as ice) it was shared among the families on the street. There was an abundance of gratitude for basic things we normally take for granted. We have found a new appreciation of what really matters in life.

This my friends is a great example of the Law of Harmony:

It is like a chord in music, where the sounds are different, but make a new, fuller sound in unison. When we bring our best to work with others, we create such harmony.

What is harmonious about a storm?

Restoring harmony is a positive outcome to these natural disasters. This state could be difficult for us to achieve with such speed and clarity, without something chaotic pushing the pendulum so extreme the other way.

How do I restore harmony when “a storm”  is pummeling my business?

If you have been in business for any significant amount of time, you will have experienced some turmoil at some point. While not every storm is a hurricane in strength it can cause a ripple effect in our lives and businesses. The key in many ways is to allow the storm to serve its purpose so we can focus on what truly matters.

Here are some valuable pointers for business storm riders:

  • A “storm” clears what no longer serves. It provides a fresh start. As with all things, “chaos” is not good or bad. It just is. Make a list of things that no longer served that you may or may not have been aware of prior to the storm.

  • A storm creates clarity to what truly matters. Make a list of things that you value that you may or may not have been aware of prior to the storm.

  • We create our experiences through our beliefs, emotions and thoughts. What beliefs have you held onto that may add to chaos for yourself and others?

  • Energy cannot be created but it can be transmuted. Ask how you can change (transmute) this resistance (undesired event) into opportunity? The G.R.O.W manifestation formula is the recipe for how to do this. See our books and journals sections.

Summary

Everything you need to change your life into a more harmonious experience is, and always has been within you. In the events above it took a storm to remind many of us that we can have a harmonious life based on how we choose to think and act in events around us.

You do not need to wait for a storm or natural disaster to create harmony in your life.

Simply choose harmony.

Abundantly forward,

Bear
